The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Tom Ellen Empire Magazine Despite the compelling high concept — and some epic action set-pieces — there’s not quite enough meat on the bones of this dystopian follow-up to make it truly worthy of its predecessor.  Rated: 2/5 Oct 8, 2024 Full Review The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Jesse Hassenger Guardian Gaztelu-Urrutia seems to be regarding his own concept from level 0, treating it as a frantic all-you-can-eat buffet that may be snatched away at any moment. Rated: 2/5 Oct 4, 2024 Full Review The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Matt Donato AV Club The allegorical simplicity of Netflix’s The Platform makes it brilliant—a sequel seems antithetical. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 4, 2024 Full Review The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Rohan Naahar The Indian Express If The Platform presented a Darwinian allegory, The Platform 2 is a metaphor for organised religion. It’s as if the unlikely Netflix franchise is tracing the very evolution of human existence. What next; the dark ages? Oct 12, 2024 Full Review The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) M.N. Miller Geek Vibes Nation This "sidequel" is more of an exercise in the art of the money grab than work of storytelling conviction. Rated: 3/10 Oct 11, 2024 Full Review The Platform 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) JK Sooja Common Sense Media Unfortunately, this film feels like it's trying to stretch out an original idea too thinly. Jorge G The Story didn’t get my attention this time. I spaced out a few times and turned off the Tv after that. I will not try to watch it again! Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Kimberley R Way better than the first one. This one actually some what explains the reason for why the people are their and goes more in detail about the characters themselves. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Audience Member So after the first film you'll have some pretty good expectations, sadly they will all be met with disappointment... This film couldn't decide what it wanted to do with the story or the characters...if you haven't seen the first one then the plot of this one will blow right past you because it has terrible pacing... The character we meet with our lead is constantly back in forth between being a coward to a bad ass who apparently goes crazy if he doesn't get his pizza. He is constantly selfish and yet our lead still somehow care for a person breaking the rules and making things harder for everyone....if you have seen the first film, towards the end you'll see a familiar face to now know this was a terrible take at a "prequel"... certain parts of the film are strictly just shock factor added and completely unrealistic even for a film with a crazy concept..(ex: someone loses an arm due to the platform crushing and eventually leading to dismemberment, yet a place with zero medical care or even medical equipment around, are able to patch this person up to live....there is even a man with no eye who claim he lost them while inside). Now this is only MY personal take, however, if you look at the reviews on ALL sites, you'll see not many people enjoyed this film. So if you choose to watch it, watch it, but I wouldn't go out of my way or plan a movie night with this film! 1.5/5 I just can't recommend this film. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Ivan C You don't have to be graduated on philosophy or be Plato to accept the fact a shitty allegory is present to you, this movie has so many script flaws, lack of characters depth, motivation or even logic that indeed at end of this movie you feel yourself at deep bottom of your life questioning why you don't pick anything else to watch. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review notyour b I had great expectations for this movie. Sorry to say they missed them. I was a great fan of Wolverine and Dead Pool, but it disappointed me. Over the top too much of everything. If you look at it as a comedy it had funny moments and the self-deprecating humor was alright but too much. It was hard to follow too many cameos and how many times you broke the fourth wall before is just not funny anymore. It reminded me of Austin Powers Gold Member just everyone trying to get in the film. My 16-year-old hated it and that says something not even all of the juvenile humor could keep him happy. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Yo A biggest idea in the movie is good will be turned to evil only if it follows evil .1st movie was about great , this 2nd movie is a bridge to a climax i hope Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
